Hello all,

The collaborative consumption revolution is a great market for start ups. People want to share their belongings and businesses want to cut costs by bartering their services and goods. Every day, more and more people are becoming apart of the shared economy as they are tired of being victimized by the current economy. When people barter goods and services, they are being meaningfully recognized by others while creating mutually beneficial relationships. It is apparent that the economy is shying away from a MEconomy and into a WEconomy. This is evidenced by the successful start ups such as airbnb, taskrabit, etc. I believe that creating a platform for people to barter via a social medium will benefit people and businesses. We are currently working on the next stage of our website by improving the user interface, etc.

Apart from this, our revolutionary marketing product will soon be released, as we are turning in the patent within the next week.

Cheers!

Oh, by the way, what will you trade for this?

Hello again,

Over the past few days I have been gathering feed back from those around me. Having done this, I can safely say that a socially enhanced bartering network will not only help money strapped college students, but also professionals. Imagine a work place where people trade their services to develop their ventures and businesses. The market is ready to barter in real time. Let us just image a network along the lines of linkedin, which provides a users with a social platform to barter time and goods. Admittedly, there a few sites that provide users with a platform to "swap," though these sites are unable to keep pace with the internet's social revolution.

My team and I are working to create an effortless, creative and captivating sight for our users. Stay tuned as the ball really starts to get itself rolling. Apart from this, the other ventures are working out very well. Things are going according to plan and I plan on cranking out more work than anyone during the tentative winter break.

Smileys to everyone! Go get it.

These past few days have been great. We are creating more prototypes and finishing up on the provisional patent. We will be consulting a patent attorney in the coming week to make sure the provisional patent is sufficient. Apart from this, people are taking interest in wantotrade.com. I have a few meetings lined up for next week. I am looking forward to the month of December, as it should lead to a lot of great opportunities!

Also, I encourage you to start working on your own venture now. If you think that your idea has potential, you must go after it. In order to do this, you must create the reality you want in order for your ideas to become realized. Again, it is up to you whether or not you want to win or loose, and believe me you want to win.

Cheers!

To predict the future, why not just invent it?

This is something I thought about today. Not only did I reflect on this question with regard to my ventures, but also with regard to my university. I am embarking on creating great products because that is what I believe everyone should do to define themselves, and secure an innovative future for common society. Apart from this, wantotrade.com did not win in the SJSU competition. Though, we did manage to get top 5 in the people's choice award. We made awesome contacts, and got awesome feedback. People even asked us "why does not this exist yet? I am would definitely use this!" This is encouraging and uplifting. Apart from this, I met a great group of people at UC San Diego. I am looking forward to working with them and getting involved with their on going projects!

Cheers... here was our poster board from the competition.

The best investment is self-investment.

Today, my team and I are beginning to develop more prototypes. Once we have done this, we can work on finish and send in our provision patent. We are beginning to get feedback. Today we got some negative feedback, but hey, negative feedback is much better than none at all. Let's rock and roll...

Apart from this, the website (here is the link) has finally been integrated with a live chat system. Only thing left to work on is an animated video before we preliminary launch the site. Admittedly, there are many other functions that we would like to integrate into the site, but at this point, given our minimal funding, we are headed in the right direction.

My two cents of the day: Investing in ideas that you have defines yourself as a person. Creating great products and services is what separates people from one another. Being able to invest in yourself/your ideas while optimizing opportunities other are not seeing is a genuine way to invest in yourself. Remember, in this day and age, your lack of experience and ambition may forge entirely new profitable markets.

Keep it coming...
